The Thule Omnistor 5102 awning is the same awning as is fitted to brand new Volkswagen California vans from the factory. Developed with DIY fitting in mind, the 5102 is designed for vans without a lifting room, although adaptation is possible with additional brackets to suit a lifting roof.
Sleek and stylish, the 5102 is the lowest mounted awning on VW vans, thanks to its slim design and specialist brackets. The awning casing is mounted to the side wall of the van by means of an adaptor, which means the awning can be fitted without drilling when used with the Volkswagen roof rack adapter rail. Smart adjustable legs are integrated into the front profile of the awning giving enhanced stability and safety - whilst a vertical lowering system allows the unfolding of the support legs with no risk of accidentally damaging the vehicle.
The quality construction of this premium awning is evident when you roll out the awning - a lightweight aluminium roller tube exclusive to the Thule Omnistor 5102 makes the gearing incredibly smooth to operate. An easy to use quick-lock system makes setting and adjustment of the support legs a breeze.
Once rolled out, you can appreciate the top quality, durable, weatherproof and colour-fast 5-ply PVC coated roof fabric, giving shelter and shade to the side of your campervan against UV rays and rainfall alike.
